Hi Klaus:

Concerning wiping--------------with a PP bullet for target work i find that i must wipe and then dry the bore to maintain accurate performance---------for hunting most patch to a bit smaller patched o.d. say 0.448 perhaps as small as 0.446 to allow chambering in a dirty bore--------i can fire several shots with my "hunting" bullets they are patched to o.446/0.447---hunting accurace is just slightly less than the "target patched" bullets---------this is for 45 caliber rifles

You might consider a sizing punch to open the sized case to a diameter that just "slip fits" the patched bullet
