Getting Back into It

Success! Thank you bobw for suggesting Orville Loomers’ book. Read it, measured my chamber to the throat at 2.137 took some 45 2.1 cases sized down and trimmed them to 2.134(oops, had to correct the dimensions) and used the following load to shoot a 2 1/2 inch, 6 shot group at 200 yards.

Remington cases
WLR primer with newspaper wad under powder
64 gr. of 3fg KIK compressed .210
.030 King wad over powder
1/8 inch DGL lube cookie
.395 400 grain bullet patched to .4005 seated 1/16 inch in the case. I coded the paper with Jojoba oil after the bullet was loaded.

I will continue to tweak this load to see if I can get it better but this is mighty encouraging. Thank you all for your help and advice. One more question, how do you transport cartridges loaded like this? They are kind of delicate and cumbersome, not that I am complaining.
