He's got that little dab of brass, so if we can just get something to stuff in the cases to make the thing go bang and ring a gong (or an antelopes bell) you know him he'll be like a little kid at Christmas.
I'm afraid this rifle is gonna cost me a trip to the Quigley..

My 74 Gemmer is a Farmingdale with the slow twist and the freebore at the throat. That is the rifle I use with the .510-500PP bullet from NEI, the one where the nose of the bullet comes back to a full diameter of .510" then "steps down" for the shank which receives the paper patch. That full diameter nose was intended to protect the forward edge of the patch when the bullet entered the rifling with its rather steep leade. I'd be glad to cast of few of those and send them for a try in that rifle. Just let me know. Shoot sharp, Mike
