44-77-405 Test
Yesterday i tried to find some paper that was .0025" at several office supply store but was not successful. I loaded some 44-70-380's in unresizex cases using 3 wraps of the baco 9# to get a good fit in the case (was hoping for .0025" paper with 2 wraps). Accuracy at 100 yards was not too good 3-4".

Today i loaded my staight sided .425 405 gr roundnose using thick paper in 43 spanish sized cases only wrapping the bottom half of the bullet so i could easily chamber round after round in a fouled bore. I was banking on the possibility that the top half of the bullet that wasnt wrapped would not bump from .425" up to the .438 lands and lead the barrel. To my surprise everything worked out well with about 2 inch 5 shot groups and no fouling control at all, not even a breath down the tube was necessary. When i cleaned the barrel i saw no lead either.

I also tried using the same bullet with coffee filter paper and 2 wraps to get a good fit in UnResized cases and got about 3 inch groups and no fouling control.
77 gr kik 2f
Fun stuff to play with!

Now i have to go back to work to earn some more money for lead and powder.
