RE: Small rifle primer adapters
Took my load to 300 yds the other day. results were horrible, but it wasn't the load's fault.
I couldn't see my front sight. (took the scope off for the rest of my testing.)
Figured it was just because of the sagebrush and fence corner in the background cluttering up the target. (3' X 5' white target with black bull) So I moved it a ways to get more green grass background. Still couldn't see the front sight. If I held just right, I could see where the top of the aperture cut the top corners of the target so I shot them that way. Respectable open hand size 10 shot group.
After I got back, I dug out my other sights (AMT) and found that this sight card had much thinner sights than my other sights. So hopefully the thicker one will let me see the front sight better.
Always wondered about those really thick ones one see in the catalogs. Now I know why they sell them.
Has anyone used flat black spray or something to thicken up the sights?
