curious brass tumbling question

how long do you run them? I use sagebrush or mauers cleaner and run a slow speed thumblers about 3 hrs and they are shiny bright every time ,

being new to the sport including reloading cartridge I am using a RCBS vibrating tumbler that was my first purchase, I figured if she burnt up I would then buy the correct tumbler. I usually let her roll about 10-12 hours, the length of time is just because the tumbler is out in my storage room and the noise does not reach my 62 yo ears
