Sight base for 94 Winchester

When you start mixing parts from different manufactures things just don't work out with a bunch of modifications.
John at CSA once told me when I was in the place looking for a rifle and I asked who makes his sights and John said they are made by us here but I have seen discussions on the forums that the sights are parts unknown but I cant say if this is fact or not.
When using the MVA sight base the problem will not be the hole spacing on the tang even if there are existing holes for a tang sight. The hole spacing on the sight base can be adjusted if the base bar is long enough where you can use one of the existing holes, usually the hole closest to the sight and the lower hole can be slotted longer for adjustment and still work as it should. The problem comes at the pivot of the staff having the right dimensions. The MVA base ears where the staff is mounted runs .250" wide and the radius of the staff base hole center must match the base and this is hit or miss.

It's best when you buy a fine rifle put a good set of sights on it. I see people putting out a lot of money for a fine rifle and put cheap sights on them and get disappointed when the holes on the target look like a shot gun pattern and blame the rifle.

As far as tang sights are concerned. I don't think you will find that the MVA will not be a disappointment.
