Brian,

I my .40-65, .44-77 and .45-70s nothing else is as consistently accurate as the .060 LDPE wad.

The most forgiving rifle I have as far as wads, powder, bullet weight and primers is my C. Sharps 1874 .50-70. That rifle don't care much about all that stuff as long as the bullet is patched to groove diameter. From 475 grain up to 650 grain it just doesn't care. The heavier ones do kick pretty good and I favor the lighter ones for most shooting.
