.44-77 and paper patch?

What profile/weight is that gm barrel? I've sort of have the itch for a 44-70st.
A while back Buffalo Arms had some 44 Kriegers in stock, but can't remember if they were round or octagon.

We still have a lot of snow drifts, that are now closer to ice blocks here. I don't think I can get to the 200 meter target line to post a new target yet, but may be able to get thru the gate to get to the bench... But that will depend a lot on what this storm starting tonite does...
