For a 1 rifle to do it all I think the 17 twist will be hard to beat, altho there really are no flies in the ointment of the Shiloh 19 twist. The 44-77 is a very easy to get along with cartridge, fairly easy on powder, yet enough velocity to reach out and touch something. Had it not been for the number of Borchardts chambered in 45-70 the 44-77 would of been sharps most popular cartridge, even after they dropped it as a standard chambering.
