RE: 45-110, stretched 348 Win?
I have tried the .348 cases, Jamison, and Norma brass for my 45-110. I even tried Starline 2.6 brass that BACO stretched to make some loaded 45-110 cartridges I bought before I knew how to load BP. The Norma brass is working very well for me. I am getting 105 grains in the cases with a .060 wad and a 560 grain GG bullet and .26 compression on Swiss 1.5 powder. That's my best load so far. The Normas hold the most but the stretched Starlines are about equal in capacity. I eventually will get around to testing some paper patched loads so I could get a little more in the Norma cases with them. I like the Normas because they have beveled case bottoms that help the breech block to cam the cases into the chamber that last little bit.
