Period correct '74 Sharps Buffalo Rifles?

RE: Period correct '74 Sharps Buffalo Rifles?
Okay Gents, I've cast and loaded several test paper patch loads for my 44-77 SBN that's being built.

The 1.285" bullet weighs 477 grains with my alloy, question is, I've rubbed the outer patch after loading the bullets in the case with jojoba oil.

Do you men notice the patched bullets tightening up in the case after the oil dries? all bullets were inserted by hand, then spun between my fingers to treat with the oil, if this is a general rule of thumb, I'll never have to taper crimp a paper patch hunting load again.

Thanks for all opinions and advise.
