let us know how the loaded rounds chamber.
409 should not cause problems with the bullet in the barrel.
if the chamber neck will take a round with a 409 bullet, the new chamber will be bigger in the neck than the original.
originals would slip fit a pp bullet in a fired case with slight friction.
a groove diameter bullet would not enter a fired case.
this could be another original rifle to suffer the slings and arrows of modern gunsmithing - hopefully not.
