Full length scope

Nope no suspense and no secets; just busy w/ taxes, loading shells, and drilling holes in the ice fishing. Sorry about the delay. Anyway,at the advice of Rdnck I bought some low diopter reading glasses (about 1.00-1.25) at a pharmacy, and the clarity improvement of the front sight blade improved dramatically and the visbility of the target (e.g. deer) was compromised very little. This was true when using a modified full buckhorn rear sight or a tang aperture sight w/ a 9/64" diameter peep. Additionally I modified the full buckhorn rear sight by widening the sides of the bottom slot using a small file w/ a neutral edge. You don't want the slot deeper only wider to let more light in to improve visibilityof the front blade on both sides.

Another change was replacing the front sight blade w/ a blade made from a copper penny of 1970's vintage. This was exceedingly bright and visible in the worst conditions that one encounters at 1/2 hr. before/after that just about makes one pull his hair out in frustration. The copper blade works exceedingly well for turkeys, too, if BPCR or ML are legal in your area.
