Caldwell Target Camera and Trapdoor

Be interested to see how this unit stacks up against the Bullseye system that's currently available. In our early days of shooting on steel... quite frankly a hit was a hit and we were glad to get it.. nowadays though...most are not only hitting it...but hitting consistently and grouping. The smaller targets have been a hit or miss call but now we need to be able to call a heart shot and shot placement on our buffalo target and 1000 yd 6 x 8' plate ..which has a 36" black centre on a white background. This is proving difficult when the ground heats up and the mirage comes into play. Even the best scope ..with the best spotter is often at odds as to call shot placement. We've trialled the Bullseye system once but if the mirage is bad.. which it is from about late September through to March.. even the cameras are at the mercy of the mirage it seems. What's clear when there is a cross breeze... just evaporates when the wind drops. This may be a 'no win' situation but would be interested in how this Caldwell unit performs.. especially out past 600 to 1000 yds. Is it simply a close circuit monitor or does it record 'last shot' and high light it against any previous hits ?
