I don't think the thread was hijacked at all. Fouling control is a big part of the equation in being successful. It's not a I use this or that answer.
Many folks blame all manner of things from the wind to missing the last episode of Judge Judy when their shots start going high or low towards the end of a string, but most of the time it can be trace to fouling control failing creating erratic pressures and velocity. Wiping can be done just as quickly as blow tubing, and has proven time after time to be what the folks that get the big trophy's at the match do.
But if we are worried about staying "on topic" the op's question was in reference to bpcr shooting, per the rules of the NRA bpcr and both matches, the only allowable powder at this time is either factory produced black powder or pyrodex....
