I just called Shiloh - they said the twist in a 50 cal is 1/22 unless you specify otherwise. So that's what mine has. It seems to shoot 600gr real well.

I know the new ones are 1/22, but my Shiloh 50 90 is an older one. I measured it at 1/36 years ago,
but..Accurate! wow. that big bullet really prints in tiny holes at 100.
I find a really tight shoulder hold works well....on all my BP guns..
Burnside Spencer, Sharps 68 carbine, 74 Sharps sporting rifle, etc.
deadens the hammer blow....Ken
