I am not one for letting out my Secrets or sharing load Data.

Dora: 34 inch 25# barrel with a 1-16 twist.

Norma Brass trimmed to 2.878-2.880 For Paper Patch. Annealed after every firing. Air Cooled NO QUENCH. FL sized also each time. Brass sorted into very tight lots of 4 grs max Spread in Wt. These lots give very consistant stacking heights-Compression. Chronograph numbers, and the many many comments the past 4 years at the amount of vertical of lack of, at 800-900-1000 yrds, at Phoenix-Raton tend to lead me to believe I am on the right track. Chrono Data from 2006 on at Raton and Jimbo and I Did some extensive Chrongraph work at Phoenix a couple years back give me more then enough data to compell me to stick with what I am doing.

As for annealing and case wts, I went to some very good Schools at Camp Perry, one put on by Creition Audett, a many time Highpower national champion and brought home all his Notes. He discussed in great detail somethings on Internal Ballstics, Case weights, annealing deburing flasholes, and uniforming primer pocket depths (huge) in his and Now again after this springs results in my opinion also. I never had the audactiy to even question any of his testing down with strain gauges-pressure gauges, Chronographs, and such. The mans record stood there right in your face. I have applied as much of it as I can to our game.

In many Ways my Years of Highpower Experience I think have paid off some very good dividends in BPTR.

Powder Goex Express Fg Lot 01-89 from 2005. I had 5 cases of the stuff and have kept it for Long Range competition Phoenix Raton Alliance Jimbo's Match.
Wt 110.8 grs is the sweet spot for Dora, though my best accuracy in both my LR 110's has been around 110 to 111.0 that area. In the 110 compression of Goex Express and Goex Fg around the .385 mark is where this Round startes to get real accurate. A older lot of 01-79 liked 108 grs and the same amount of compression, it was a tad more bulky, less dense powder.

Primer: WLR's the old White box ones, also Fed 210 Match are nearly the same thing. Primer Wad inside the case 40 cal and out of Watman Ashless Filter Paper (something Dan T Shared).

Wads: use a .060 Veg wad to compress the powder, next .047 rubber Celulose wad Fel-pro, last a .091 Cork Wad.

Two bullets have worked well in this rifle, giving 245 scores at Creedmoor ranges: Baco .444 diam. Money the 520gr bullet, and the 540 gr .444 Money. Both bullets sized too .4446 with a Die John Chase made me. Paper is Seth Cole 8# tracing paper. The 520 gr is a bit light on very windy days. Where the 540 gr seems to hold up very well. Windage corrections on avg 2/3 of most GG shooters on either side of me when shooting in same condition.
After wet patching the bullet, dry on a Warming plate the size it though a .451 Lee Die that just evens up the base folds. I often take a nice rubber block that i use to patch my bullets on to the varrious matches I attend to sell it works very well.

I have been shooting the 2-7/8ths Sharps since Sept of 1994. Wore out one barrel with over 19500 rounds on my first 110. Rebarreled in April of 2005, in 2006 it took the Scope class national title at Raton. In 2008 shoot the 1.336 inch group at the 5@200 match at Raton, with a .446 pp bullet, still a world PP Record for that match. That was after a horrible outing in Phoenix that spring using a .441 bullet with heavy paper. Won a regional Scope Title with it in 2009 with PP at Phoenix. In April of 2009 took Delivery at Big Timber of Dora, and have never looked back, parked my old LRE that fall, Dora's first outing in 2010 first time in the America's Cup with the 520 gr bullet shot a 245 with out a spotter. I got sick, finally the last day of regional shot a 236 with it. Spent next year and half screwing with a semi prolate bullet that was .003 out of round Never could get it too shot went to the 540 gr Baco Money and uped the charge back to 110.8 grs this year sized bullets and patched bullet. And had an exceptional 4 days at Phoneix. As JImbo says I would tweek it some if I was you.

Dora also, Got a reduction in cabose as Brent mentions, I put a old LRE Butt stock on the rifle. In my opinion it is Shilohs best stock for long range Prone shooting. This fall after shooting its going back to Shiloh to get a proper New checkered Stock on it, outa my pocket.
