Calling C Sharps 75 owners

So I am planning my Active Duty retirment rifle and am looking hard at the 75 as I can get the extras that I want with out breaking the bank.

First question I have is about the set trigger is the extra $ worth it? I have read that many folks say the regular trigger is fairly good.

Second the target and sporting version lists less cartridge options than the other versions. Will they chamber in what ever you want that they list for other models or are they pretty firm and their options?

And lastly It comes with a heavy round barrel, is the octagonal the same weight?
