I am not getting off on the bullet as much as really experimenting with the loading technique to its full potential.
I wanted a bullet to patch to 0.001 over bore, and weakened last night using the one supplied with the mould.
it does that and seats firmly with the palm seater as hoped.
the nose is a little ugly from being pushed out with a rod, so not good for photos.
if this works better I will have one made 1.5+" long for long range.
I must confess to becoming very comfortable with elliptical noses.
cannot test for 2 full weeks, and the test will have to be a scheutzen match.
after this match will be another (1 shot) match, where the shooter closest to the centre wins.
the prize is a wooden target with all the bullet holes in it, named for the shooters, and the responsibility of supplying next year's target with the picture of your choice on it.
will try to get some photos up after a casting session.
after rolling dual diameter bullets for so long, it is an interesting experience rolling a bullet with a parralell shank.
