What became of the 1895?

I own 2 95 carbines in 30US or 30/40 Krag. There both extremely accurate. They sit in my safe next to the Sharps and other lever actions. I didn't realize that the rifles worked with round nose bullets. I have a little over 5000 147 FMJ for my assault rifles. But didn't find out until I let a friend fire the rifle and he cycled a round in slowly. I always cycled faster. It jammed. One of the carbines I bought cheap from Leroy Merz. It turned out the hammer spur was broken, the rear sight was modified to just a big notch. No upper hand guard. Then for some reason the guy who owned it before me decided to take two 30/40 case heads and pressed them into the buttstock and forearm. I found a hammer for $150. I took the NRA disassemble book and followed the direction how to take it apart. The magazine clips that hold the ammo in the box r stamped steel and r really hard to put them back in. So I would advise not to do that. I found a rear sight for repro for $250 passed on that. I would like to get a new model carbine some day. Guns and Ammo about 12 years ago decided to let it out that the 95 Winchesters were a sleeper in lever actions meaning the prices were very low. After that article came out the price unfornatley increased a lot.
