Kurt, I have a Ballard mold for a 500 grain .45 caliber tapered paper patch that Wolfgang Droege gave to me about 1986 but I never used that bullet enough to really give it appropriate credit. With the .45/70 I usually favored bullets of 420 grains or so and I used some of those bullets with certain success. More recently I had Tom at Accurate Molds make #44-400P for the .44/77 and while that seems to work rather well, I haven't given it the chances it deserves. In general I seem to favor tapered paper patch bullets and I was interested to hear your opinion. Shoot sharp, Mike
