Gary,
Promised in two months after I did a lot of begging. I once owned a
Browning 1886 in 45-70, and foolishly sold it to pay a mortgage or some other non-essential expense. I think the 40-65 may be the ideal cartridge for serious plinking. I'm rubbing multiple coats of oil into the refinished stock.
