RE: Elk ?
one dead one from last year and a cow on private that went over to tribal land before permission to hunt could be secured. Its been rough, the corn harvest was complete before the season I have even started. With the loss of cover the elk went back to the pine covered hills belonging to the tribe. Got lots of fresh air, exercise, 2 grouse, 1 coyote on the last trip to Bennett co. will leave again friday evening for the weekend. The tribe starts hunting this weekend hopefully that will move some elk around where I can get at them. Going BH deer hunting this morning as soon as the 50 yd visibility clears from the fog. bob

RE: Elk ?
Deer hunting here has also been poor for me. Hindsight is 20/20 and foresight not worth a damn. Guess if I tallied the incidentals and gas ,I could have had a 2000# buffalo instead of a yearling coming up. bobw
