Doesn't sound good Confused . I'm more likely to get paid not to twerk...but thats another story. Have ordered a kit for the 40/70 and some bits and pieces to give it a test in the 44 also. Looking forward to giving it a try and hopefully getting my son into wiping as I think it may solve a lot of the 40's inconsistencies. Blow tubing just doesn't cut it here when temperatures climb and the air dries out. Must admit I'd like to try the Rick Morrill set up also and may pursue that avenue as well. ... Well it makes a change from buying another mould. Tongue

I would suggest getting two sets for each caliber and box of the felts. That would be enough to keep a person running at long strings like we shoot at the Byers match where it''s 15 rounds for score and unlimited sighters.

Those are pretty nice looking setup there Don, I have a set of .40 Bore Pigs that I use on my 40-70 Paper Patch rifle. I thought I would see how they worked on greasers so Saturday I was practicing for a match on Sunday , took them along with my 40/65 put the pigs in a little watered down water soluble oil and water mix and put the rest in the patch popper (pressed almost dry in my juicer) and put the oiled patch behind the pig. Worked Great. Shot 50 rounds at 100 to 400yards and the rifle didn't have any problem.
100 to 400 is the match I went to.

Don I believe that would be the way to go in the long run but I was itching to give these a try and that 'folding stuff' was a little thin on the ground... so I decided to have a little sample to start off with rather that wait too long to try them out. Most of our match shoots involve 3-5 sighters and 10 for score so having at least 30 ready to go ( preferably more ) would seem a good place to start.

Jb if you got one set , and a box of the felts, you'l be good to go. Would only need to change the felts between relays.
