Apparently two track means something different in the east. The only time we ever get going 60 mph on a two track is when we might be chasing a coyote!

Dodgy Speaking of driving fast... ol silver went to town on the back of a tow truck today tonite. We were getting that solar outfit about ready to go, had to go to the house and get some stuff, on the way back buzzing down the road all excited we're gonna get done, the cows will have water and we can go shoot Cheyenne in the morning,,, and cawupp,, started swirveling all over the road, and the left rear tire passed us and went out across the bar pit and about 300 yds into the pasture...
So tomorrow we'll finish the solar pump, and maybe best start looking for another ranch truck.. You'ld think they'll make a pickup you bought brand new for 14 K in 87 last a little longer than that..Big Grin

Well, for cryin' out loud, that pickup should have lasted longer than that. It sounds like it's just barely broke in; probably haven't even emptied the ash tray yet. If you're looking for another pickup, you might look at the Dodge diesels. I've been driving them since '95, and see no reason to change.Smile

Friend of mine has one of them dodges, and he keeps his socket set handy, cuz about every 200 miles he has to go thru the inspection door on the tranny and put a pin in the gear that shifts into 5th...

Hey Don, Be prepared for sticker shock when you look for your next ranch truck. I paid over $25 G's for my ol' Ford '97 and that was back in '99. That big diesel is still running great and it will pass anything on the road except a rest area... Shoot sharp, Mike

Naw Cody
A two track to me is two track with grass growing between them.
I chase the Coyotes here two, but the .222 does the chasing for me. I don't run after them Smile

Don,

Sorry to hear that your truck went belly up. Reminds me of a situation when I was driving down a mountain road in NC four years ago when this wheel comes out of nowhere down the middle of the road, barely missing me.
We're wonder what's going on, when a second or two later this little pickup comes around the corner with a huge shower of sparks coming from it where the front left axle and brake assembly were digging into the pavement. It was a pretty impressive light show!
We were blessed to get a new F350 diesel with the 400 cubic inch engine. I almost fainted when I found out they were $55K!
Hope you get the pump going. I'm thinking about a solar pump of some sort as well.
Best of Luck!

-Tom

Got the pump hooked up and running and all is well. Now just to get ol silver back up and running and the sun will shine and the birds will sing again.
