Freedom, and Olde Eynsford - Don McDowell - 06-01-2014 Congratulations to Wes Deams (Freedom here on the board) He managed a dazzling 3rd place finish in the first ever Wyoming State Midrange Championship. His powder of choice is Olde Eynsford. So far as I know this is the first notable match finish using this powder. I suspect we'll be seeing more of this sort of thing from both the powder and Wes. RE: Olde Eysnford has a win/place/show - Don McDowell - 06-02-2014 I believe he'll check in, but last I knew he was shooting 68 grs of 2f with one of the money bullets. RE: Freedom, and Olde Eynsford - Freedom - 06-03-2014 Thanks Don!..it was fun shooting next to you WY boys. I finally just quit twisting the knobs and it seemed to help. My load/gun is this.. Green Mountain barrel 1:16.8 twist 45-70 on Pedersoli 74 action. BACO 520 M3 money, 16:1 alloy, seated in the case by hand. Fed 210LR primer WW case, annealled and fired 50+ times without ever re-sizing Powder is 68gr Olde Eynsford 2ff, 24" droptube, Then a .030 CarQuest Gasket wad is compressed .060+/-...I add a wax paper wad before the bullet to help guarantee that I get wad release at the muzzle. I have found a lot of plastic wads at the 500meter rams...so I don't use them. The loose cases and light compression will not hold while on the road to matches so I have high density foam in the top of my boxes to keep the loads stable for transport to matches. I blow tube in the winter, but as soon as it goes over about 50degrees, I wipe pretty clean between shots...usually 1 dripping wet arsenal patch and one dry heavy cotton patch....I use cotton balls at home to save on patches and they really work well. I use Napa cutting oil and water for my wiping solution. RE: Freedom, and Olde Eynsford - knobsmt - 06-03-2014 Wes are going to be at Big Hill ??
