Now all we need is a rifle. scrapline 2.4 brass ,80 grs 1.5 OE, bullet on the left is the Brooks postel 1.3 inches long, bullet on the right is the BACO .434470.

Those are nice. What is the specs on the case. I did a google search and couldn't find any info.

Jeremy those are simply 45-90 cases sized to a 44 caliber. That was a fairly popular cartridge at the end of the Creedmoor era. And it still a good number for those of us oddballs that have been rediscovering it.

Don, over on the ASSRA board there is a badger 34" 44-90 st barrel for sale dies included, I am sure that it could be shortened a bit and re-chambered and fitted up to your CPA long range.

Thanks Sam, but I'm leaving the CPA as is. I do have the CSA 75 rebarreled with the Oregon barrel and chambered using Iron Coyotes reamer... Last time out you could cover 10 rounds at 600 yds with the palm of your hand...

That sounds like it would make a real reasonable round to load for. Will have to keep it in mind.

It is reasonable to load for, and it's an easy shooter as well. And not every kid on the block has a 44..

I don't think any of the kids on my block have one :-). It looks like a nifty cartridge for sure, and being able to make the brass easily is a big plus.

Looks good Don. I just ordered a PP mould for my pseudo 42 Wesson which is the same cartridge necked down just a little more to .429. I've been having such good luck with the .454 mould patched to groove in GG chambers that I'm going the same route with a .424 dia mould from Rick K.
