Savage Mod 93 - Ironramrod - 02-06-2014 Do any of you guys know anything about the Savage Mod. 93, .22 rimfire rifles? I know of a number of shooters around here shooting Savage center fire rifles of various calibers, and have never heard a bad report. I'm interested in using it for .22 matches, and bunnies. What do you guys shoot for .22 rimfires, and how do you like them? Strong points v. weak points? Thanks. Regards IR RE: Savage Mod 93 - Creeker - 02-06-2014 Wish I could help you but did find this: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2012/11/daniel-zimmerman/gun-review-savage-model-93fv/ RE: Savage Mod 93 - Ironramrod - 02-27-2014 In the way of a .22 update I didn't get the Savage Mod. 93, but ended up w/ a Savage MKII .22 long rifle. I bore sighted it, put a spare 4x Leupold scope on it, and took it to the indoor range here for a test drive. The first 3 shots off a bench @ 50' were in the same hole; I can live w/ that. Then I shot 3 10 shot groups (bench, 50') w/ 3 different ammos; result was 3 groups slightly larger than a pencil eraser. Next step is some offhand shooting and a trip to the outdoor range for some 100 yd. shooting, when it gets a little warmer. Anyway it looks like a good shooting rifle. Regards |
