Smoking gun John - Don McDowell - 07-29-2013

I was wondering if membership in the 22bpcra was good enough to satisfy ODCMP requirements to purchase ammo?

Noticed recently that some .22LR ammo is showing-up. Not all stores have it, though.

Some was for sale @ $5 per box of 50 ... I didn't buy any!

Anyone remember the good ol' days when a box of .22 ammo cost $0.25? ... I do, 1949!

Yes, I remember when the old hardware store would sell .22s to us kids one cartridge at a time, a penny apeice. Sometimes we'd get two for 3 cents. They kept a broken box of .22s on the counter for us. Who could afford a whole box back then? Shoot sharp, Mike

The local Gamble Store had Hiawatha shorts for 18 cents when I was a Kid Smile

I don't think I can match 18 cents but remember the Remington Rockets? A 28 round flat pack of real high speed 22 shorts - wasn't it really gallery disentegrating ammo with extra light bullets? I think I remember buying them for a quarter. And the cheap imported ammo carried by the LGS was from some unknown unheard of company called Eley! I shot a lot of that stuff.
