I only have one mould, a Paul Jones in the .40 caliber, she throws a 421.6 grain bullet every time if I do my part, I ruined a BA money bullet mould when I first started in this sport, got the puppy to hot and warped her, a good $120.00 lesson in learning
any ways what bullet mould have some of you had good results with, just curious at this point

fir 16 twist Browning,
400 gr Lyman Snover for mid range
400 gr Baco Money or Brooks Whatnose for long range.

my rifle is a Shiloh Sharps .40-65, I do not know the twist, never really gave it any thought

CL, My .40/65 is a Shiloh, and I shoot the PJ money bullet, the Lyman snover, and the BACO 0.392 PP bullet. All 3 shoot well. The PJ and Lyman bullets both make nice round holes @ the 600 yd. targets in the wind; I haven't shot the .392 PP bullet at 600 yd. yet, but it does shoot well at 300 m. on paper in the wind. Performance in the wind (e.g. round holes in targets, no dirt diggers, etc.) is almost the #1 criteria for a bullet in this country. If the bullets will always make round holes, a premium load is then likely doable and worth the effort.

The same goes for my Shiloh. I do like Brian's name for Steve Brooks' interpretation of the "money bullet" nose profile. Whatever you call them, they do seem to work pretty well at long range, at least in my limited experience.

In a 16" twist, 28" barrel, Shiloh saddle rifle the best bullet yet has been a Steve Brooks, 2 dia, Creedmore at 30:1. A true 1moa bullet with a sordid (don't even ask) mix of powders. Velocities run around 1150 to 1250. Sometimes, we even break that 800 yd wall, with of course, the right spotter.

well, I be thinking if Lumpy Grits will still let me use his charge card, that I just might purchase a Steve Brooks mould, a person so I have read in the past just can not have enough blocks
