Leatherwood Wm. Malcolm 6x scope? - Tombstone 71 - 05-26-2013

What do you guys think of the Leatherwood 6X Malcolm scope? I know that the MVA is top of the line but my wallet is not. Will it work for 1000 yrds?

Tim

not too much wrong with the scope but the mounts suck ,,, big time

If you buy the complete set up from BACO using the DZ unertyl mounts it's not a bad outfit. Mine shoots to 1000 yds but it's maxed for elevation. Changing to a higher rear block would/should make the 1K line a little more attainable.
But by the time you get that done you can also get the MVA Winchester scope with the unertyl mount.
Also if you're not in a hurry it's been said that DZ is going to market their own scope and mount system, sometime this year.

Tim if you keep your eyes peeled on gunbroker, you can from time to time run across MVA's for about 2/3 the cost of a new one.
