Can't wait to see it in person. Thinking we'll drive up to Big Timber and get it.

Well isn't that nice!
And only some assembly required!

RE: Psst hey buddy - Don McDowell - 06-25-2020

Yup, was hoping it would be done in time for Byers next week, but looks like we'll get to break the barrel in at Alliance. Smile

I like that nice simple straight grain in that wood.
Shouldering a 77 has a different feel than the 74's.

When is Alliance? it's been a long time since I been there.

The Dean Scoggins Memorial Match is the last weekend in Jully, Friday 22 and lever gun, Saturday 12 rounds each 4 targets all 1000, Sunday 8 rounds no sighters same 4 1000 yard targets.
Think the flier is a sticky on the competitions page

Do they still open the range on Wednesday ?

How did you configure your rifle? You are going to like the single trigger. It is a very crisp break at a consistent 3#.
Mine is a 45-90, 32" barrel ,Rigby rib, steel buttplate, flared panels, AAA finish with hand selected extra fancy wood.
Thanks to you I laid in some Jamison brass awhile back.
My only regret is that the wood is almost too nice. Lucinda called me up in May of 18 and told me to come and pick out my wood. My daughter chose it.

RE: Psst hey buddy - Don McDowell - 06-25-2020

Mike my rifle is similar to yours, except the barrel I believe ended up at 30 inches. The wood grade wasn't specified other than standard, but when Kirk put it into the production group he called and said he would hand pick a piece for it. I have an MVA buffalo soul on the rear and Baldwin up front.
They had thought it would be ready in time for the Money Match in Byers next week, but not going to make it. But that's ok because that will give me a bit more time to really work on a load for it, if I miss my guess and the load I'm currently shooting in the 90's doesn't work as well in this rifle.
