If a person has a CPA barrel in 40-70 SS and wanted to change the caliber without cutting the barrel down, just recutting the chambering what calibers could be used to modify the 40-70 SS chamber?

Probably the best bet would be the 40-82 crossno, or Shiloh, but then you'll need to modify the extractor.
