does anyone have any info or has had a mercury recoil reducer install in a Shiloh stock?

I shot Kirk Bryan's .light weight hunting Rifle .45-110 he said he had three tubes in his stock, That recoil felt like a heavy .38-55

do you know if they were installed on a line that is parallel with the barrel?

No I don't know.
I have a .45-70 Shiloh build for my Daughter to shoot and I had Kirk put one in this rifle so it dont put the hurt on her during a long string like the Q and for a little more weight in the stock to balance it better for off hand shooting. They do take some of the recoil out.
The tube is in line with the barrel in mine and it can be removed if need be.

I have one in the RoughRider 45/70. After reading the paper-work that came with the reducer, it says its to be installed with the backend slightly lower than the frontend. I'm pretty sure that it works ok (GRINS)!

thanks for the input, I learned many years ago that managing recoil increases accuracy, many shooters have an issue with this
the recoil in the .40-65 is not a problem, but in my mind I know if I feel less recoil my accuracy will increase

LG, do you know if your reducer is parallel with barrell or is rear of reducer slightly downward to help throw recoil downward

Kirk at Shiloh did the install and it's just below the stock's 'heel' and is parallel to the bore.
That up/down stuff don't make sense, cause we shoot up and down hill.
Nice result is it puts the balance some what more to the rifles center.
