Rocky Mountain Regional BPTR match - Don McDowell - 09-18-2017 First off a great big tip of the hat and well done to Eron Ahmer for the great job on this match. Elon is a world class shooter that knows how to make a great match happen, plus he has the availability of one of the finest shooting ranges , but to put this match on. I don't have the scores, but I believe in the end Chip Mate and Zack Taylor were separated by 1 x count in a large amount of points for first and second. There were also 3 first time BPTR competitors and I believe they all had a great time. This is as good of a match as there is to get your feet wet in the target rifle matches, so watch for the announcement of next years match and mark your calendars accordingly. RE: Rocky Mountain Regional BPTR match - Fogman01 - 09-18-2017 What Don said. I was one of the first time competitors and this one had a great time. I thoroughly enjoyed both the long range and the mid range matches. I had never fired more than 500 meters before and this was an experience to shoot 1000 yards with a vernier sight. I had a great spotter and I can see how that makes all the difference. I learned a lot and I have a lot to work on to get ready for next year. Eron did a superb job running the match. Thanks to all for welcoming the new guys and giving us some great tips. |
