Smithmoor Calender - Cody Smith - 01-06-2017 Hello and Happy New Year! We wanted to put out some information showing what we have planned for shooting events here at Smithmoor for 2017. We are hoping to have another great year and have some good shoots planned. We look forward to seeing all of our friends and hope we have some fun, competitive matches. Please call or email if anyone has any questions. Please note the 22 match being moved to the third Saturday in February for February only. The 22 matches will return to the 2nd Saturday after February. Coralee and I were thinking to have plans that weekend and it is unlikely that we will get to shoot big bore in February, so we set up this alteration. Hopefully it doesn't mess anyone up. take care, Cody January 2017 14th Monthly 22 BPCR Winter Series Match at Cody's Shooting Shed 21st Monthly BPCR match at Smithmoor West, weather dependent 28th Historic Target Rifle match at Cody's Shooting Shed February 2017 18th Monthly 22 BPCR Winter Series Match at Cody's Shooting Shed 25th Historic Target Rifle match at Cody's Shooting Shed **Please note the 22 match is moved from the 2nd Saturday to the 3rd Saturday and there is no BPCR match in February** March 2017 11th Monthly 22 BPCR Winter Series Match at Cody's Shooting Shed 18th Monthly BPCR match at Smithmoor West, weather dependent 25th Historic Target Rifle match at Cody's Shooting Shed April 2017 8th 22 BPCR Winter Series Spring Championship at Cody's Shooting Shed 15th Monthly BPCR match at Smithmoor West, weather dependent 22nd Historic Target Rifle match at Cody's Shooting Shed May 2017 26, 27, and 28th Memorial Weekend 2 day BPCR Spring Match at Smithmoor West June 2017 9,10, and 11th Rocky Mountain Regional 22 BPCR Championship at Smithmoor West 17th Monthly BPCR match at Smithmoor West July 2017 No matches due to the National Matches at Raton and Wheat Harvest August 2017 19th Monthly BPCR match at Smithmoor West September 2017 16th Monthly BPCR match at Smithmoor West October 2017 21st Monthly BPCR match at Smithmoor West, weather dependent November 2017 11th First Monthly 22 BPCR Winter Series Match at Cody's Shooting Shed 18th Monthly BPCR match at Smithmoor West, weather dependent 25th Peter Bergersen Historic Target Rifle Match at Cody's Shooting Shed December 2017 9th Monthly 22 BPCR Winter Series Match at Cody's Shooting Shed 16th Monthly BPCR match at Smithmoor West, weather dependent RE: Smithmoor Calender - Cody Smith - 01-06-2017 For those wondering, our Historic Target Rifle matches are for single shot, falling block rifles with pre 1917 technology. Cast bullets, black or smokeless powder, and iron sights or scopes are used. We shoot at 200 yard paper targets both offhand and off the bench. You shoot without a spotter and there are ample allotments of time to shoot. This makes for a very enjoyable, relaxed and yet competitive match. They are lots of fun and I would encourage anyone interested to come on out. I am sure you would have fun. take care, Cody RE: Smithmoor Calender - alfajim - 01-12-2017 (01-06-2017, 11:22 PM)Cody Smith Wrote: For those wondering, our Historic Target Rifle matches are for single shot, falling block rifles with pre 1917 technology. Cody where in Wy are you located? ![]() Jim RE: Smithmoor Calender - Cody Smith - 01-12-2017 Southeast, clear in the corner east of Cheyenne. We have a facebook page with a bunch of photos and is usually kept current about what is going on. You don't have to have a facebook account to view it. Just search for Smithmoor Range and it should come up. take care, Cody |
