Milan buffalo shoot - Hiwall55 - 10-15-2016

we had 16 people show up, very overcast and winds about 20-25 MPH, so conditions weren't ideal, but it was mucho fun. Had some buffalo chili for dinner. Buffalo Billy won first place with a 31 out of 33 and I came in second with a 30. Ill post the scores when they send them to me.

Nice shooting Bill, and thanks for bringing the results.

Bill sounds like some fine shooting for unknown distances.
What was the time frame for the 33 shots? and what powder smokeless or black and rifles mostly used for it?
Last of September and October is a tough time for me to go anyplace.
When is the next one scheduled ?

Kurt

Kurt the shoot is 33 buffaloes in 3 banks of 11 at different unknown distances with a time limit of 5 minutes starting at your first shot. We range the first one in each bank to start, this year it was 165 to 180 . I missed the first shot and the last 2, they were spaced farther than I thought. I shoot duplex with a 540 grain bullet and I shoot too fast, I think I had 1.5 minutes left on each bank. We did have one guy that shot PP and wiped , he did a good job but ran out of time on two banks.
It was a heck of a good time and my last shoot of the year, duck season starts next Saturday and I'll be down at camp till the end of January.

Thank you Bob.
Good hunting too. I haven't went after Ducks and Geese since my double ten was crossed out for use. Sad
