WSU Historic Target Rifle Internet Match - Cody Smith - 06-14-2016 All of you are invited to participate in the Wyoming Schuetzen Union monthly internet match. No special rifle is required as your silhouette rifle, or other single shot (Big bore or 22) will work just fine. Rules and details can be found on the WSU Forum under the Match Schedules and Scores heading. This will be a great way to get out and practice, enjoy some comradeship with other shooters, and give a bunch of us that don't get to travel a chance to compete against shooters from all over. Your support and participation will be greatly appreciated. Cody a clarification of this please as I am a newbie to all this having never shot at any kind of match before. I went to the web site for the rules and requirements but not sure what they are telling me. I will be using a trapdoor for doing any of this. Jim RE: WSU Historic Target Rifle Internet Match - Cody Smith - 06-16-2016 Fellas, I am glad to see some interest! It would be great if you want to enter. I think it will be a fun something to do. As far as the rules, you can use just about any old single shot. I don't care too much what you use, just make sure you put it in the equipment list that is required. It is 10 shots for score shot offhand at 100 yards. It was decided to use string measure, which is the sum of the measurements from the center of each bullet hole to the center of your target. You just take a rule or caliber and take each measurement and add them up. If you completely miss the target, give yourself 10" for that shot. If you miss shooting a whole month, you will get 100 inches added to your score for the year. What else can I clarify for you? thanks for the interest, Cody RE: WSU Historic Target Rifle Internet Match - alfajim - 06-18-2016 Cody, I am guessing that I go to my local range with a 100 yard range use the standard 100 yrd paper target that is used there shoot 10 rounds measure the shots mark the target and post on the internet with a picture? Does the range have to be a silhouette specific range? There is one here that holds a monthly silhouette match so I should use them and does it have to be done during there match? Sorry for the questions as I have never done this so I"m in the dark so to speak. Jim |
