Paul Jones mould - Hiwall55 - 12-17-2015 I was watching some moulds sell on eBay last night and a Paul Jones Creedmoor went for $381 . Wow . I bought a Saeco 45 caliber that weighs 480 for $68. I believe some here ( or their wife) shoots this bullet.anyway I didn't have it so Now I do. Bill RE: Paul Jones mould - Don McDowell - 12-17-2015 Bill that Saeco bullet does shoot very well. 69 grs. of OE 2f and a .060 fiber wad... When you see some of the prices these folks are willing to pay so they can "win" something at auction, you just have to wonder what in the world were they thinking..... RE: Paul Jones mould - rdnck - 12-17-2015 That 480 Saeco is definitely a shooter. Mine wants to lead a bit, though. Shoot straight, rdnck. RE: Paul Jones mould - Kurt - 12-17-2015 I think I will put my PJ mould collection on E-Bay
RE: Paul Jones mould - rdnck - 12-17-2015 I have four Paul Jones Creedmoor molds that I would gladly sell. I drank the koolaid, too. Shoot straight, rdnck. RE: Paul Jones mould - Mike - 12-17-2015 Now, now... Don't flood the market. Shoot sharp, Mike RE: Paul Jones mould - Hiwall55 - 12-17-2015 Kurt, that's what I was thinking. RE: Paul Jones mould - SgtDog0311 - 12-20-2015 So, not a high opinion of Paul Jones molds here? I just picked up a rifle in 38-50 Remington and a PJ mold was thrown in the deal. Sounds like I'm gonna be disappointed from what I'm reading here... "drank the coolaid" etc. I hope its at least tolerable for the time being. RE: Paul Jones mould - Cody Smith - 12-20-2015 My three PJ molds are very nice and produce the most accurate loads in my rifles. It would take a whole lot more than 381 bucks to buy one of mine. Paul Jones was (is) also a very nice guy that was super helpful to me when I got started. I have gone quite a ways in competition shooting his molds and hope to go further yet. I didn't have any success in BPCR until I called Paul and he helped me to pick out a mold and gave me some good instructions on casting. I had several conversations with him and they all were very helpful and pleasurable. I do think the current Buffalo Arms molds are close to if not as good as the PJ's. Everyone has an opinion... take care, Cody |
