High wall firing pin replacement - Gussy - 07-19-2015 My highwall broke a pin so I started searching (converted .22 Winder into a 38-55 centerfire). Found!! MVA makes a replacement firing pin. Not a perfect drop in fit, at least in my rifle, but very close. My rifle started life as a .22 so it was different from the start since it was converted to center fire. My rifle had the coventional .074 smokeless tip. MVA's is .090. Simple drill out makes it work fine. The other problem mine had was the flat tip .22 type body. I had to chamfer the inside slightly to let the pin protrude enough since the end of the MVA pin was radiused. If you need a replacement pin, go to MVA ($25.00 plus shipping current price as of 7/15/15) |
