Another day on the range - Klaus - 05-29-2015 ..some times ago since my last report was send, i do another trial with Wano Sporting Powder FFFg Bullet: Lyman Postell and Govt. Bullet. Load all Rounds with 63 grs Wano Sporting Powder FFFg , compressed .216 . and corked with Milkcarton and Coffeefilter paper. Murom Pistol Primers All Bullets are set in the Cartr. covering the greasegroves. Run all Rounds through the Lyman Necksizer to have a slight fit on the neck only to avoid to loss around upside down or even i have to remove an unfired cartridge . Distance 100 m rested on Crosssticks. Use the Blowtube after each shot Rifle: Pedersoli Remington Rolling Block 45-70. ![]() After each 10 Rounds i wiped with blue Glasscleaner 2 dampened an 1 dry patch First Pics showing two targets with a "Bucket" i was training for an upcomming Event in July the litte Bucket was not easy to aim but finaly i got him after sight correction with the Lyman 457125 ![]() next was the same Target but with a Lyman 457132 ![]() first 3 Shoots hit the bucket but if you are to larking the results are reflected directly with two deep flyers. After this first shoot i have had a break and changed to the electronical Target For this results i haven`t a Papertarget but have taken pics with my Mobil sorry for the bad appearence. Take 3 different pics for the complete string of 10 Shoots ![]() here are 10 shoots with the Postell Bullet score 97 Points The 457125 scores 88 Points ( without Pics) It was much more easily to aim on the bigger Round than on the little Bucket Have to say that the Postell Bullet will be more accurate as the Govt. Bullet By the way i also try the Lee 459-500- 3R with the same load but it was not worth to show the results greetings from Germany Klaus
RE: Another day on the range - Old Jim - 05-29-2015 Klaus, Your photos are not available to me, but I can "see" from your description of the shots that the Postel and the Govt. bullet are doing well. A longer distance to the target would be beneficial to long range load development, maybe even a few more grains of powder will help, but I don't know much about the powder you use. Good luck and hold center, Jim RE: Another day on the range - Lumpy Grits - 05-29-2015 Can't see the pictures either- ![]() Gary RE: Another day on the range - Klaus - 06-01-2015 That`a pity, hmm try to insert the pictures again ![]() regards Klaus RE: Another day on the range - Klaus - 06-01-2015 pls try to follow this link http://s1009.photobucket.com/user/KlausSchmitz-50/library/BPCR?sort=3&page=1 hopefully it will run.....
