Yeh, that too, but I have 2 unopened cans of 231 and one of bullseye that was give to me in a box full of reloading stuff, and as I don't really use either one of those figured the acp might be a good place to burn it up..

they are both good in the acp , I dont like bullseye but a lot of folks do the 231 is really good in the 45 and meters good too, ,,the 45 is pretty easy and likes almost anything,

About the only thing I ever thought Bullseye was good for was target wadcutters in the 38 sp... Maybe I'll just hang on to it for prosterity

I would go with the 231. My 45 was built and then test fired with 231 and it was pretty much a ragged hole. For a 200 gr cast wad cutter bullet somewhere in the 5.2 gr range should work quite well. And yes it does meter very well. I load my 45's on a Dillon and once set the charge doesn't vary at all.

Back when I had a Ruger P90 I used 231. This one is a Rock Island 1911 M ( commander size) Local slobber shop guy shot me a price on it to good to pass on, so I figured what the heck if he's going to do the transfer on my new CPA, might as well take him up on this thing.
Would like to find where to get a couple of factory magazines for it. Colt 1911's fit, but I like that little extender thing on the bottom of the factory mags.

Loaded up a batch with Remington primers, 5.5 grs 231, and the 225gr coated bullet from John Olson.. that combo managed to keep 3 or more from each magazine touching at 25 yds. The PMC factory hardball stuff is indicative of how the 1911's got the reputation for lousy accuracy.

you dont want them all in the same hole ,you get better hydrostatic shock with different hits about 2 inches apart is optimum

Must be why that Hornady plastic swinger thing didn't die,,, to many bullets in the same hole.
