45/70 bullet - Old Jim - 07-03-2012 ![]() Here's a 500 grain bullet I use in the Sharps for most hunting applications. Jim RE: 45/70 bullet - Lumpy Grits - 07-21-2012 Details ![]() Gary RE: 45/70 bullet - Old Jim - 07-21-2012 Thats a bullet of my own design. Five hundred grs. at 30:1, 0.30" meplat. Its 1.230" long and carries 3.0 grs. of SPG. When loaded over 73.0 gr of Swiss 1.5, the group for 5 shots is around 6" at 200 yards, using the barrel-sights on my Shiloh, without the use of a blow-tube. Thats min. of buffalo ... good enough to hunt with! And it drops antelope in their tracks, Jim RE: 45/70 bullet - Don McDowell - 07-22-2012 (07-21-2012, 10:17 PM)Old Jim Wrote: And it drops antelope in their tracks,Yuppers it sho do that alright ![]() RE: 45/70 bullet - Hiwall55 - 08-11-2012 Nice picture, I know Jim But the Roller is still The Purtiest in the Picture RE: 45/70 bullet - Klaus - 08-13-2012 Hi Jim, good looking Bullet do you have a clearer Pic that s showing the GG a bit better?
