RE: .44-77 PP bullets. - Caprock - 04-11-2020 Apparently "I just wanted another one" isn't a legit reason. RE: .44-77 PP bullets. - Distant Thunder - 04-11-2020 Well, technically this isn't "new rifle" because it's I'm just putting a new barrel on an old Shiloh I bought back in 1992. So, I told her that just because we put new tires on her car last fall nobody says she's driving a "NEW" car! ![]() Do women roll their eyes at everything a man says? It seemed to be good logical thinking to me!
RE: .44-77 PP bullets. - Nuclearcricket - 04-11-2020 Hi all, as to loading rounds that ended up just not quite being right, I had a touch of that the other week. I had the fortune of picking up a very nice S&W M52, .38 wadcutter pistol. I loaded up a box of wad-cutters and then had to reseat them as I let the bullelt out just a bit too far and they wouldn't go into the magazine. I did have a good coat of snow here in PA yesterday and I took a drive down to MD and hit a few storms on the way down and back. Been casting up a bunch of bullets and am running out of boxes to put them in. I have also done a few search and destroy missions in the shop looking for things I know I had years ago and so far they have not turned up. What did show up was a 500 count box of .30 cal 130 grain cast bullets for the 30 carbine, so I will not be casting for that little bugger any time soon. Sam RE: .44-77 PP bullets. - Don McDowell - 04-11-2020 Jim, I like that new car analogy will use that the next time. LOL Stay safe back in that injun country Nuclearcricket.. RE: .44-77 PP bullets. - Kurt - 04-11-2020 Sam. I have a 52 Master. Those are tops for the bullseye matches. The three on the right the .45 gold cup, The High Standard "The Victor" .22 and the 52 Master. The .45 Gold cup at 50 meters, and the 52 and the .22 for the 25 meters put me into the high master NRA matches. Those 52's shoot like a rifle. The 52 takes a smaller diameter then a .358" at 356" to get the most from them. You made a great find!! [attachment=1708] RE: .44-77 PP bullets. - Distant Thunder - 04-11-2020 The other thing is that 4 new tires is almost as much as a new barrel! And which one is going to get more miles, years on it? The barrel is clearly the better deal! I have suspicion my wife sees it differently! Women! Can't live with 'em, can't just trade 'em in on a new Shiloh! ![]() ![]()
RE: .44-77 PP bullets. - Kurt - 04-11-2020 I'm pretty fortunate with my Wife. She told me to get two last summer. She said you always regret not getting it by the time you get home. You been wanting one now just get it. ![]() ![]() You just haveta love those farm gals been with her 54 years come April 30.
RE: .44-77 PP bullets. - Distant Thunder - 04-11-2020 Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade my wife for anything, I know when I've got it good. She has never denied me whatever gun it was I wanted next or anything else I've ever wanted. They do think differently than we do and I like to poke a little fun at her from time to time, but she gives it right back at me. 41 years on May 4th! Doesn't seem near that long! Yes sir, I got it pretty good! RE: .44-77 PP bullets. - Rockridge - 04-11-2020 Last year we were buying a new house. While walking through the reloading room the previous owner had, she whispered to me, "This isn't nearly big enough"! Did I say how much I love this woman? Ed Rockridge Will have been married 28 years this June....but our son will be 45 this fall (Better living though chemicals?)
