RE: Montana 1000 - Semtav - 07-16-2014 Was hoping this would be a good test for my PP'd "bar stock" bullets as BobW called them but the conditions and my shooting didn't give them a good go. I did shoot three before the match when the wind was real light to get a good sight setting and walked them in to the target all at the 3 O'Clock positon and most of the calls during the day were in the 3 to 9 area. but I did have three shoot about half a target low. two were in a row, and the third shot was back up in the middle with out changing my sight setting so I have to figure out what is going on there. That's not uncommon with 9# paper when you start shooting past 800.. Brian, when we painted the targets, most of the hits were in the lower half, I think it was more the shifting head wind than your bullets, was not a good day to test loads. RE: Montana 1000 - bobw - 07-16-2014 Brian, your hearing is going south on you.... I called them bar solder bullets in reference to your alloy 1 in 12.5 tin to lead. Mine already left and went somewhere else, that's how I know. bobw RE: Montana 1000 - Semtav - 07-16-2014 could be my memory is the one going south Bob RE: Montana 1000 - bobw - 07-16-2014 Ok, just remember to be at the range 2 nd weekend in July 2015 for another go at it. good to see you again, bobw |
