You can squeeze the side of the can and shake it to break them up. But you have to watch it when you fill the powder drop.

Kind of a pain in the shorts, but if you use a small funel, it will stop/catch clumps to start with. Just a little extra fill time.

Kurt-How long did you have this new lot before you opened any of it?
Be interesting to hear what you find out. At the least-Your powder should be replaced.

RE: New lot of OE - J.B. - 09-05-2015

Its a different powder I know but I've had similar experience with Swiss powder down here. I'm usually working with 1.5 or 2f and they both 'clump up' on occasion. Not quite to the extent you have in that photo though. It breaks up easily enough and doesn't appear to effect performance. Would like to try some more of that O.E. but it doesn't look like anyone is interested in picking up the Goex agency down here. Even Swiss...is top dollar and few and far between. From memory I had more experience with clumping with the 2f and 3f... and no so much with the larger granulation. Our powders are often several years old by the time we seem them too. Only recently finished a bottle from 2011 which I purchased in 2013. Confused Perhaps 'time on the shelf' doesn't help either.

Gavin.

Gary I picked it up at the Q and just opened the new case a few days ago when I ran out of the old lot.
I don't think there will be a problem. It's a new lot and I just have to do some work with it switching a few things and I will be ok. I just didn't have time working with it before I loaded for Lodi.
Chris I have had problems with Swiss also in the past as well as other's. Heck The old tin cans of KIK had rust in them when I puled the seal off.

Thx Kurt!
Do the clumps break up easily?
Gary
