The weather predictions are threatening T Storms, etc. Next Saturday 27th will be 22lr 100yds Mini Palma at my club at Wi. Rapids Sat September 3 will be a BPCR gong match at Merrill,WI That will be it for me until (hopefully) the Winter "Indoor/Outdoor" 22 long range gong matches 40 to 200yds at Merrill RE: .38-50 Hepburn - Kurt - 08-16-2022 Ian, Last weekend I think that I'm coning to the conclusion that my competitive matches are ending. With my last eye damage I just cant see well enough anymore. I spend to much time trying to focus and by the time I squeeze the trigger my eyes gray out, especially if the conditions are dark. I will still make the close shoots like at Arnies matches at Wis Rapids. Sitting behind this .38 on a bench I have nothing that shoots better then it does so I know the bad showing was not the rifle. It was the guy controlling it. Kurt RE: .38-50 Hepburn - ian45662 - 08-16-2022 (08-16-2022, 09:49 AM)beltfed Wrote: This weekend is the Lodi matches: Are you still making flexible rods? RE: .38-50 Hepburn - beltfed - 08-16-2022 Yes, I am, Ian The delrin wiping rods are available in 5/16" or in 3/8" the 5/16 is what I use in 35 calibers and up. the 3/8 I use in my 40-65 when pushing bore critters. or can be used in larger calibers They are nom. 48" long, and Drilled and Tapped Both ends in 8-32 common for jags and brushes. OH, our mutual friend Tony Martello mentioned you at our Wi Rapids BPTR squadded practice Arnie RE: .38-50 Hepburn - ian45662 - 08-16-2022 Tony is a great fella and a great shot. I will see him in September. RE: .38-50 Hepburn - beltfed - 08-16-2022 Ian, I believe I am squadded with Tony on Friday's 200yds .22 match He is indeed a great shot. Has done his share of winning at the Lodi Long range matches last coup Arnie RE: .38-50 Hepburn - ian45662 - 08-16-2022 I will be shooting at Friendship this weekend. Last number I heard was 74 shooters so this will be a great test for the little 38. I have just finished loading ammo for my wife’s rifle. I finished mine a couple of days ago. RE: .38-50 Hepburn - beltfed - 08-16-2022 Ian, May you and your wife Favor Center this weekend. Arnie RE: .38-50 Hepburn - Hiwall55 - 08-17-2022 Go get them Ian. RE: .38-50 Hepburn - ian45662 - 08-21-2022 It turned out to be a dumpster fire for me. Tomorrow I will try to figure out what went wrong |
