First, please everyone clear any preconceived notions of what this match was and what it is planned to be.
Above all keep in mind the goal of this group is to provide a quality shoot for the enjoyment of the competitors. A fun match for serious competitors in the BPCR sport if you will.
Preceeding the Creedmoor Match is two days of BPCR silhouette
AZWINS stands for Arizona Western Independent National Shoot. No memberships or affiliations required. Just show up and shoot the equivalent of an NRA Creedmoor Match which is two consecutive days at 800, 900 and 1,000 yards, ten shots for record at each distance black powder with a practice and sight in day the day before record fire. The match was INTENTIONALLY not well advertised as the match director and crew got a late start and ran it like a shake down cruise because they were unfamiliar with Creedmoor. That will be very different in 2020 when it will be widely advertised, well staffed and information available early.
USIMLT- stands for United States International Muzzle Loading Team
One day mid-range, 300, 500 & 600 yards, Day Two 15 shots at 900 & 1,000. Draw from the hat team match muzzle loaders vs cartridge guns day three.
1,000 Yard World Championship. Arizona State Rifle and Pistol Association Match to be managed by AZWINS in 2020. Consists of one day of sight in and sight settings then three consecutive days of three strings of ten shots each record fire at 1,000 yards.
So, thirteen consecutive days of BPCR Shooting on the Ben Avery Range, March 1-13, 2020.
Think of this as the "Triple Crown" of BPCR Shooting. It is the largest BPCR Match on planet earth or in intergalactic space and produced solely for the fun and enjoyment of the competitors.
