Yikes. Ok. Thanks Gary. An old-timer workin at the range suggested it. I knew it was bad for barrels but didn't know about brass. Only did one time by adding some Windex, but haven't used the straight ammonia solution yet. I'll dump it now.

LOL. If I didn't know you better Don, I'd think you like to stir the pot. Happens even when I'm doin the most innocuous searches, like with this most recent caliber. Sumthin you said at some other forum had me lookin high and low (ooh...I punned) at .44s. Ok. I like homework. Nuff said.
edit: Well that was fast. Search brought me back here where I read a little more carefully this time. And since I like to experiment, I'm gonna give the Jamison a try. Was a time recently when a bunch of folks were grabbin up what they could b4 it was discontinued. Thx again Don. Figure I owe a consulting fee by now. And will stay w/ our S'line (for wh/ I've noticed you have a different name in some quarters) wh/ as Lumpy says is workin just grand for the 70.

Get some Windex multi-surface cleaner w/vinegar, and you'll have about the best BP cleaner made.

Don, do you know how thick the rims are on that .45-90 brass? Are the cases a full 2.4" long? I have a rifle with the rim recess cut a bit deeper than I'd like so thicker rims than my Starline would be nice.
